Hiatus

Due to lack of comments, I have gradually lost interest in continuing my current project. Therefore I am announcing an indefinite hiatus. I may suddenly feel like continuing really soon, or it may take months before I feel like coming back here. If enough interest is generated, however, I will happily return and continue to provide the Tsuki no Hikari walkthrough videos for those who want to play or watch.

I apologize for the delay. Yet again I was having technical difficulties. Also there has been a change of plans. I will not be doing Kazuki’s route first because I was dumb and didn’t realize that there was a requirement before being able to get Kazuki’s good ending. The requirement is to have gotten at least one of the other good endings. Therefore I will be doing Sudoh-sensei’s route first.

So I just got around to finish playing this game today (though it was just released earlier this week) and I’ve got to say I was pleasantly surprised! The game is called RE: Alistair and it was produced by a group called sake visual. It is a rather short game as it was made for a game making challenge that spanned only two months. I sure hope they won because this game has the makings of a full, professionally made game!

The basic story of the game revolves around the main character, Merui, who is a high school girl that loves games. The game starts out in the virtual world of Rivenwell Online where we see Merui’s character and her friend’s character up against a strong monster, when all of a sudden another player swoops in, kills the monster, and takes the item she had been fighting almost to the death for.

As luck would have it, she finds out that the player goes to her school! So it’s up to her to find out who he is and exact her revenge. She has it narrowed down to three people (who are the three choices that can be obtained at the end of the game): Travis, the seemingly arrogant president of the Computer Gamers Club, Shiro, a classmate who’s really shy but smart, and Derek, the popular star of the basketball team and vice president of the student council.

Merui has three stats that can be raised by doing activities and buying items and the money to buy the items comes from her working and her allowance. The provided walkthrough has more details for those who need a hint or two. You can download the game at:
